How To Setup BBM for Samsung Phones

BBM for Android and iOS means that you can be using one of the world’s favourite mobile phone messengers on just about any phone these days. Gone are the days where only Blackberry phones could run Blackberry messenger. It is very easy to setup BBM on an Android and iOS phone. Remember that BBM is free even for non-Blackberry phone users, but you will still have to pay for the data usage.

Follow these simple steps and you will be up and running with BBM on your Samsung phone in no time.

  1. Go to Google Play store on your phone.
  2. Search for BBM. Once you find it, click install.
  3. Once installed, open the application.
  4. You will be given an option to create a Blackberry ID or sign in.

It is worth discussing these options further before you make a choice that you might regret. If you already have a Blackberry ID on a Blackberry phone that you do still own, then it is best to just sign in with your existing Blackberry ID. Yes, it is the same ID that you sign into Blackberry World on your Blackberry phone.

By using an existing ID, all your BBM contacts will now be imported into your Samsung phone. No need to re-invite each person one at a time. A new BBM pin will be created for your Samsung phone despite using your old Blackberry ID login details. But do not worry. Your pin will immediately be updated on the BBM of all your contacts. They will not even know that your BBM pin changed.
